Adopted Twins
One of my relatives and her sister were adopted separately, is there anyway they can get a copy of their original birth certificate?
My aunt (call her Ivy) was born one of triplets to her unmarried mother. They were apparently all put into a home when first born, then one sister was adopted by an aunt, another was taken to live with her maternal grandmother, and later adopted by her step-father when the mother married when she was 4 years old. They were led to believe that the third triplet died, but do not know this for sure.
What happens to the original birth registration as I cannot find their births on ancestry even though I know their birth date?
