powder eyeshadow ...moving them

odd question, but i have a small compact for makeup and i carry it round with me, refilling the little trays with lipstick, concealer, creme eyeshadows etc..just for touch ups etc
....but obviously unless the pallettes fit i cant put eyeshadow powder or any pressed powder in it.

i imagine the only way would be to scoop out the powder, crush it, add liquid an make it into a paste, then put it into the empty tray and then it dries out again...

any ideas how best to do this? obviously water is the obvious choice but would it dry out properly? or would it just crumble out? is there another liquid that would work better?

any ideas?

ill probably just have a go with trial an error but just wondered if anyone had any ideas, before i go wrecking all my eyeshadows, haha

thanks boxtops..that could work but might make the eyeshadow too oily...but certainly be ok for any blusher perhaps...
anyone know if can you buy unscented dry oil? ive seen it in a perfumed spray...

but youve made me think of somehting like a gel...something similar to antibac hand gel...but not that...maybe ky jelly...

another thought is glycerine...but will that dry out?

I don't know about glycerine - but the dry body oil spray I used is the Skin So Soft unscented from Avon. Fine spray - could work. This one http://www.craigdonmo...ft-dry-oil-body-spray

Glycerine will not dry out. Safflower oil is much lighter than olive oil and is odourless. If it doesn't work you can always use it in salad dressing.

I don`t hold out much luck for your chances. I travel a lot with work and I have pressed eyeshadows and blushers but they get damaged and once they crumble there is nothing you can do except use them at home. You won`t be able to press them again.
