clean comments...

ABers and Eds, take a look at the site bibblebub posted a link to, here: http://www.theanswerb...s/Question945995.html
What a neat and tidy system for commenting on somebody else's comment! It's the "cleanest" design I've ever seen, for that purpose. Anyone else like it? Would it suit AB?

It also works nicely with twitter and facebook.
It is very clean, but it is for commenting on a single topic with various different threads. You can see how the replies indent and break up the different "threads" of conversation - I think implementing a similar "reply" system would make some feel they're being ignored, or equally, obliged to give everyone the same amount of attention.
I think being able to reference one another might be a good idea, for example with the twitter-standard @username. What do you think it is that makes it so "clean"?
All the best,

Hi Spare and hi again boxtops and Answerprancer. I should have been more specific last night but it was late - we're one hour ahead of you here in Sweden. Spare I wasn't so much thinking of AB subscribing to Disqus and it's not the indentations I'm after - I see your point about those - no it's the little window that opens up to display the comment being referenced, for immediate understanding of what the comment-to-the-comment is all about, with no copy-and-paste cluttering of the thread and no scrolling in endless search of the source. (Hope that gets you out of the loop boxtops:) and de-capsizes your brain Answerprancer:)
