Tilt-Shift Van Gogh

One novelty in digital photography is tilt-shift, for which editing produces a very limited field of focus together with slightly enhanced colouring and can make real-life subjects look like they are miniature.
Now someone has applied these techniques to some paintings by Van Gogh:-

Some are quite so-so but a few (such as the first one) do look very intriguing. Does anyone else agree?

I love the effect, but I'm still stuck into my HDR photography.
