What can I do with my hair to make it look piratey?

Its layered, with the shortest bits going to my shoulders and the longest bits an inch or two longer.

Well Pirates are typically men, so how about a manly wig to conceal any length of hair you may have...
there is a special article about how to do pirate styles here

Take the advice of Butch.
Shave it off, then paste onto your chin as a beard.
Buy a canary and attach it to your shoulder.
Learn to say Ahaa-rgh and nobody will be able to tell the difference.
That'll look sound Molly. Great link cazzz -I was just thinking pleats (plaits -I dont know if pleats are just a Scottish thing) which wouldnt have been easy with layered hair.
That you sorted them Molls?

I think a few plaits will look good because the ends of the layers will poke out, making it look scruffy, like a pirate, but i won't do it on all my hair though.
Yeah I think on reflection that would be a good idea -just have a few and it'll look 'scruffy' which is the look youre wanting.
