Apart from curries and bombay potatoes, what kind of recipes can I add one or more of the above to to give it a bit more flavour? I heard nutmeg goes well with cheese, does it in your opinion?

nutmeg always with lasagne, on potatoes, mashed and other ways. A must together with allspice in bread pudding! Nutmeg on any milk pudding. Cinnamon in shepherds pie and other lamb dishes.
