is dog saliva really clean as people say it is?

I used to look after 2 Labradors for a mate of mine. Believe you me, they will eat anything, including sheep sh1t :-(

Not all dogs eat sh!t, mine certainly don't!! however I wouldn't say that their saliva is sterile either!

Dog saliva isn't clean, however I understand that it is cleaner than human saliva

I wish I could remember if a cut got infected when I was a child lol
