Cruising

A friend has asked me to go on a cruise with her. I think as a first venture I will opt for a short mediterranean cruise, but my problem is I cannot sleep in the same room as someone else and have never seen a cruise that advertises single berths (??rooms). Do they have such a thing and if so are they prohibitively expensive. Thank you. Janet

The newes tNCL ships have single cabins, otherwise all other ships will charge you single occupancy which can vary between 100% and 200% of the fare.

you are perhaps happy to pay extra for a single room but what about your friend surely she asked you along so that she had someone to share with thus avoiding the single supplement, you surely cant expect her to stump up as well ?

Thank you Auntie bertie and Dee Sa.. Auntie I will certainly google your suggestion, and Dee Sa the reason I am asking is so that if it is expensive i will not suggest it to her. But I know quite a few people who do not like to share a room and you can quite well holiday together without having to sleep together!!!

I sypathise with your predicament. When I was in the RAF I could happily sleep in a large barrack room with 20 other lads, but felt very uncomfortable sharing a two -berth room with just one other person. Nothing sexual in this, I thinks it's just a case of personal privacy.
