Does anyone know where I can buy one of those wheat bags (sometimes scented with lavender) that you heat up in the microwave. Got a sore neck and my physio has recommended one to soothe my aches and pains! I've found loads on the internet but live in a block of flats and have trouble getting parcels delivered if I'm not in. Anyone know of any high street shops that stock them? Thanks!

You can often get them from a larger health shop. I`ve also seen them in craft fairs.
Yes, craft fairs. I got one, and why wait for a sore neck, they're brilliant at any time !

Woo hoo! How fast are you guys? Thanks - will make a detour on my way home from work xxxx
Forgot to tell you that be careful if you get one with lavender as it may relax you too much & you`ll sleep.
I've made my own wheat bags works out a heck of a lot cheaper, get a scrap of material and sew up to about half cushion size. Go to your local pet shop and buy between half a kilo to a kilo of wheat - half fill the bag you've made and hey presto one home made wheat bag. I put mine in microwave for 2mins 10 secs - the first couple of times it has a strange but not off putting aroma as the wheat dries out (don't know if shop bought ones do this or not) - guess you could always put dried lavender in too but never tried this.
just incase you didnt get one... savers / poundstrechers do them really cheap, I avoid lavender ones and add my own essential oils on top
We bought a really nice one from John Lewis for Mr B's nan last year around this time so they may have them.

I have one myself from a local chemist.

Thank you, thank you, thank you! Didn't expect such a great response. Will be making a list and going wheat bag shopping!
I think they are wonderful, I have two which I use. Most places sell them .....dunhelm mills.....boots.....some chemist.....poundland...and some bedding shops sell them now. Good luck in your quest.
Home Bargains often have them for about 2.00
Mine is practically glued to me all winter, and I've had it for nearly ten years now! It still works just fine, and if it ever gives up I'll definitely be getting another.

SRH - you'll wonder what you ever did without one!!
Iv'e even used one for the dog and her arthritic legs !
Brilliant things ..I have two ! One for my neck and one which I put on whichever knee is giving me hell ! You can get them quite cheaply . We have a QD shop and they are a couple of quid each .
Word of warning though .Don't do what what I did .
Put the bag in the microwave and didn't have my reading glasses on,nuked it too long and it exploded ! I had bits of wheat and lavender all over the place .
Hi SRH, what a great response you've had!
Just to add, Wilkinsons sell them, in the kitchen section, for about 2.99 (I know they are upwards of 12 online-stay away!)

Bodycare often have them in too, and the stationery shop The Works has them in right now too, at about 2.99. They are wonderful!

If you put a little container of water in the microwave with your bag every other time, apparently it's good for it! But it says that on the wrapper :S lol! Good luck x
