Has anyone one else been disappointed with this - particularly Saturday night's episode. Normally a big fan of Mr Renwick so it's been a bit of a let down.
I think maybe when a series and concept is fresh and has ingenious problems, sexual tension and comedy it can only really stay satisfying for a short time. The series was parodied so well by Allastair Mcgowan that I find the contrived plots a bit comical and much as I like her I dont think Julia Sawala is as convincing as Caroline Quintin. Saying that though I thought the ventrilaquists dummy was hilarious.
Agree with all of the above. "Contrived" probably does sum it up, and although this always was the case, it worked because we were willing to suspend our disbelief.
Did anyone else notice that the giant dummy got caught on the windmill when it was facing outwards. Later in the programme the face of the dummy appeared at a window. To have done this the Dummy must have turned right round :)
