Any tips on bringing my motor insurance down? I've been through all the interent quotes and have come up with a final low quote of 590 but now want to phone a couple of the insurance companies to see if I can bring it down even further. Is there anything that I can tell them that might not traditionally be on the interent forms that might help me?

When they ask you what your lowest quote is, lie and take off 50 quid. Then go back to the original and lie again. I have taken two hundred quid off before. Then again I would love to pay 590!!!!!!!!!!!
Take a pass plus- that reduces it.

Is the car you are insuring actually worth what you are insuring it for? Some people forget that after a few years of ownership the car's value decreases and they are paying premiums based on that value. Of course if they come to claim  the cars value is assessed and they get a shock (but not a premium reund)

Accept a higher excess

Make some arrangement so that it is garaged overnight.

Get a limited milage policy - don't know if that's possible with non-classic cars or not

Move house - OK getting desperate now so I'll stop
