I was just thinking about mine-and she could have been a 19th C pioneer. She did a lot of the DIY-painting-even some rather pretty murals on our lounge wall-,even building a wall unit in our DR and some furniture in my bedroom. She could be out in the garden from early am til dusk-growing a lot of our veggies, cooked everything from scratch, baked cakes,pies,cookies...and the best bread ever. She even made a lot of my clothes til I was in my teens. And she still managed to do part-time jobs as well. I wish I had half the energy she seemed to have.

Redman.....((HUG))...so sorry
She worked at Llangwyfan Sanitorium in the Vale of Clwyd Squad. I also caught TB and ended up there myself from 1955-56 but I was lucky and got cured of TB on both Lungs.
redman......Streptomycin. PAS, INAH.........era.

As medical student we were made to have a drink of liquid PAS....the worst taste I have ever encountered.
I loved my mum, she was like an older sister to me.
She had our arguments later in life but always made up.
She was fully supportive of me and gave me so much encouragement.

I miss her deeply.
So right Squad, the taste was diabolical but somehow all the Medicine and injections and the care of the Doctors and Nurses worked wonders.
Thank you everyone for your kind thoughts ! x
I know where I get a lot of my traits from. My mother was completely undomesticated, she kept house but housewife she was not -completely at her happiest in a business environment - I know we're weird, but she loved the feel of stationery, I could live in Staples... Housework didn't remotely interest her but she had to do it while she was a stay at home mum - as soon as she could, she went out and got a job, and was a typist until she was 76. A woman before her time.

Excuse me Bobbi....he snores so he's only 99.9999999% perfect....but he'll do very nicely
he obviously loves you very much Rowan, it comes through on here
It's mutual Bobbi...but he hasn't met my mum yet...that might just scare him off....
