Help, had a nosy into Facebook over the weekend and whilst I did know a few people in it I want out of it now - how do I delete Facebook forever. Thanks for your help. Do I need to log in again to delete.

you have a choice, you can
1) just leave it and never use it again. Though youll still get emails and have an active account
2) log in, go to account - account settings - deactivate account. This closes account though you can log on within 30 days and it would automatically reactivate it again

You can't! - Once they've got you they won't let you gooo.

I had a devil of a job, and in the end I just had to ignore them for years before they got the message.

they cannot force you to use it so cannot understand how you had a devil of a job to not use it. put emails in spam and/or ignore emails. if you want to leave, then just leave

I joined facebook along time ago but never used it then when I remembered about it again I just started using it again, it doesn't go away but I think you can delete your account.

thanks all - went into account and deactivated also was able to opt that I do not receive emails through facebook but as you say they said I can log in whenever which I wont be doing. bye for now
