Depends really on routing and problems ..and what there is to remove or replace! .. pipework type and no of radiators. Lard is about right for average combi and maybe 6-8 rads tho.
I've just had a new condensing combi moved to a different place (extra pipework),, an extra rad and the system flushed for £2250. British Gas for the same work quoted £3500!!! So I think £1800 would be about right for a boiler alone.
I paid about £1000 five years back, to a local plumbing firm - just for boiler and fitting - very pleased with it, an excellent investment. They took the old one away, too!
Hi Crunchie ............ Boto's figures are spot on, I reckon. Lardy could be right for a small unit, but including the VAT ......... £1800 would be a good deal :o)
A boiler on its own could be bought within £2000, however will ask you to make your purchase before the end of the year as the VAT prices are set to rise in the new year. Media URL: http://www.sleepmasters.co.uk Description:
