The new trend of burlesque shows - has anyone been to one. I have a relative who 'acts' in them and my OH claims they are a mild form of porn. Are they - has anyone seen a show?

Seen burlesque ion the TV. Seems to be more hiding behind fans and swinging tassels on your chest. Depends at what point you wish to define something as porn. I reckon it all looks a bit too mild to fall into that category. Just tease really.

I've seen a burlesque dancer as part of a cabaret. the act would probably be described as a cheeky strip, and she went topless.. but no undercarriage on display ;o)

@Ankou I would never call it bland! I'm a professional Burlesque performer and I do love my job. Clearly you have never been to a good enough show.
I run my own events and they are delightful.
