None, seeing that i don't work in a shop
A little bit of obsequiousness goes a long way.
i havnt got a shop, but all customers are happy, purely because they get to buy from me.

Sadly though, i wont work anywhere else so you're up the proverbial creek
ive quit and decided to travel round the world.
lol now they dont have to see me bored with my life. good times.
use the 5 commitments that are standard in modern retail, be present on the shopfloor, achkowledge customers with a smile and an open greeting that avoids a negative reply, listen to what they are asking and ask questions to confirm you have understood their needs. Offer aditional products that complement their purchase which they may not have remembered/considered they would need. maintain eye contact and offer thanks for their custom.
A customer recieving the expected standard of service leaves happy but tells noone.
A disatisfied cistomer will tell the next 20 people they meet how poor the service was
Shouldn't you be able to fill the application form in on your own?
I find that customers generally appreciate my telling them about the love of Jesus.
When selling any product become familiar with it's features that make it suitable for the customers needs, you can only do that if you have listened to their wants, discuss the benefits from choosing that particular item, is it vale for money, does it have a guarantee and mention any incentive to purchase, like price point, offers or other discounts.
dotty. I know you have a vast experience in retail but just like to ask you your opinion about some shop assistants approaching you whilst browsing, as soon as one asks me if I need any help then it puts me off and I leave the shop. Sometimes I just like to look and see if there is anything I fancy, I may buy, I may not, but I feel pressured when someone is looking over my shoulder, what is your professional opinion about this.
I agree...if you're filling out a CV and you have to ask this question on here, maybe you're not the right person for the job?

What will you do when you get to the actual interview and they ask you a question? Ask to 'phone a friend'?
