Unsuitable sized bedding

Why is it that some places provide bedding which is not really suitable - just spent 3 nights in a caravan on a well known caravan holiday site - the duvet just about covered the width of the bed, was only just long enough and the cover for it was too short. This meant that by the time both my husband and myself got in bed, there was a gap all round! Very annoying, especially during the night when we spent half the time trying to cover ourself up!
Also the light bulbs in the lounge had been replaced with energy saving type, except it was not bright enough to read by - really annoying!

did you complain? I would certainly complain about the bedding, the low wattage lights I probably wouldnt have much of an argument with althought I agree they are very dim for reading.

Was there a king size duvet on one of the single beds?

No, the other quilts were even smaller, we ended up tucking our bath towels at the bottom of the bed to hold the quilt in place a bit more.

Was there a 'Water Centre' at your holiday site ?

I've been to several, the beds and the quilts are too small and you need a stack of about 4 pillows to equal 'one' you'd use at home............

there was a swimming pool complex so yes! and - as you say the pillows were small as well ,most annoying

If it wasn't for the reduced price (via coupons) I'd never go to these sites.
We use them as a base to tour an area..........and now we take our own bedding ! :o)

oh id take my own bedding too!! most def!
i know everythings clean and that when you go to these places, but even so, id still want to have my head/face nuzzled into my own pillow .. same goes for the duvet and duvet cover thats over me.. :o)
