Hi all, i have a vectra 2.0 turbo (petrol) i suspect my turbo seals are blown due to smoke entering exhaust and combustion chamber, if i remove the vacuum piupe to de-activate the turbo, and blank off the oil feed pipe, will i get any excess oil pressure problems ? or do i need to divert the oil feed back to the sump ?

Id like to try this to confirm diagnosis and to be able to use the car temporarliy until i source a new turno.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Your car will run like a bag of sht if you carried this task out 900, look at 247 car spares for a replacement, or EBay, you might be surprised how cheap they can be bought for.
To add, google Vauxhall spares on the web.

Thanks for that info twr ! Now I may have just been lucky in the past but had an old 620ti once with a seized turbo it ran sweet as a nut, anyway if I forget that idea do you have any good tips of confirming it is the turbo and not elsewhere ? I.e. valve stems, rings, h.g. Just that they are rare, only one on eBay now and would like to be sure as poss before makin my pocket £300 lighter :p cheers
