Hi
Is there such a thing on the market where you can store all your DVD films on to a box of some kind so you dont have all those DVD all over your house. This box is then like a Ipod for films and then you can watch any of them on your Tv.
I hope you understand what I mean
Thank you inadvance

I don't know if you'll find one that doesn't need to be connected to a computer - that is how they work, by transferring media files to it, just like an ipod without a computer wouldn't be much use.
I use the Popcorn Hour, which plays a wide range of formats, including DVDs and HD films. You can also network it to play files directly from the computer.

a friend of mine has a black box that is a large hard drive. he downloads films from the internet and puts them on the hard drive, that then plugs in the tv. He has music on it to. I assume if you load your dvds on to your laptop you could transfer them to a hard drive box???
( i have no idea what i am on about LOL!!)

This page lists all the hardware media players in existence (so it claims) - you could look into them further to see if any do what you require:

Have a think about a DVD Recorder with a large capacity Hard Drive which will store many movies direct from tv source without involving a computer.Ron.
