A million dollars, isn't that something like 650 000 pounds? Hardly enough to retire on especially if you want a nice home, so I'd buy a nice house and then back to work the next morning I think!

that's only about £625,000 ! Well my cadet unit needs a new building so i'd buy them that and the rest i'd spend on buying my first home(with a few farm animals) and a better boat.

I still want to be a marine biologist. I'd get bored not doing much all day.

The emperor of Japan was a marine biologist too. I don't think he did that because he needed the money.

Depends how old you are. If you're a young person you'd never be able to retire on a million dollars. Inflation would soon erode its value. I'd keep some for myself, give some to family (but anonymously so they couldn't spend itrecklessly and come back for more !), and donate some to my favourite charities.

Pay off my mortgage and my debts, and see what's left - it would be nice not having to worry about spiralling bills.

I wonder where Arman comes from, "Every people wants make a rich man" is not a turn of phrase I hear often, so I wonder if they are posting from overseas. This might sound like a huge amount of money in some parts of the world.

But to answer the question, if I had a vast amount of money and didn't need to work for a living, I'd open a Dog Rescue Home.
