Woofgang - my OH read the ship one at my mother's memorial service. We spotted it by chance engraved on a headstone in the local stonemasons, it seemed so appropriate - we chose to end it at "... and that is dying". Beautiful - it has taken me back to that sunny day when we laid her ashes to rest in Brighton in the trees amongst her friends.
Ah me - I'm having am unexpected weep to myself at the memory of it... my thoughts are with your friend, zzxxee ♥

thanks boxy i have even been looking at short verses in sympathy cards, her mum would just tell people she wouldnt want a fuss just to read a couple of lines and get on with it
bless her thats why its hard to find a short non religious poem or verse !!!

i have even tried to write some lines of my own
but have screwed up about ten bits of paper !!!
