FLY KICK Fly = Run KICK = BOOT

Thank you Aquagility and rascalrob-not the cleverst of clues (in my opinion!)
Forgive me for butting in to your question; this is one of the weakest clues I've seen in a long while. It turns out that Fly-kick is a shortened version of Flying kick i.e. both legs off the floor. Who knew?
I imagined this to relate to Rugby Union - a kick by a fly half.
Yes - a fly kick in rugby is to kick the ball forward into the air while running.
