Women are still very under-represented in the upper echelons of business and professional careers. For example, most primary school teachers are women, but most primary school headmasters are men. Men are more likely than women to be promoted to staff management levels, and traditionally "female" jobs such as nursing, cleaning, and childcare are the most lowly paid. Female graduates are less likely than male graduates to be in fulltime employment one year after graduation, and when a rapist/murderer is on the loose in any particular area, it is the WOMEN who are told to stay indoors, when it would actually make more sense to make all the MEN stay indoors so that any man seen out would be known to be up to no good.
Equality?? Huh! We still have a long way to go.
