I need a temporary job

I am desperate to find a temporary receptionist job working full time hours.  I do tv extra work so this is why a temp job would suit me better. I have reception/admin experience and have signed up to recruitment agencies but they keep saying how quiet they are and have nothing for me.  I have searched the internet and newspapers but with no luck.  Please has anyone got any ideas I am getting worried now?

What about joining a big company such as NHS, government, insurance etc. as "bank" staff? phone around you might have to send CVs or have interviews but then you will be on their list for covering absences etc..

Temp agencies are quiet one week, manic the next... I'm sure something will come up :-)

Out of interest, what extras agency do you work through & would you reccomend them?

yeah me too please, I would also like to find a good extra agent, on the temp side, I know this is a knightmare, how about approaching the big companies who you know will want to hire temps, and find out the agency they hire through. Its a backward approach but then you might be able to find the busiest agency.

Im not really sure, but if you dont mind me asking, how did you get into being an extra?
I would really love to do things like that, but I cannot find anywhere
