Searching for a will.

Is it possible to search online for a will dated after 1858? If so which site would I use? I am trying to use this angle to further family history research. Many thanks

yes, ancestry.co.uk have now indexed and transcribed the entire calendar of grants from 1858 to 1942. You just need to know the persons name, where they lived and when they may have died, though some grants don't get included until years after the death if there was a legal delay in settling an estate.
I can look anything up for you if you want, just need the name and details as above. Once the entry in te calendar is identified, it gives you the name of the district probate registry, you can then order a copy of the will (or admons if they died intestate) from the local record office, which also acts as the depositary for the district probate office.
