I had my first hearing at crown court monday 1st for plead case management. Pleaded not guilty. My husband however never withdraw his statement like he said he was going to and trail is on the 14th and 15th of december. The barrister that represented me on the monday is not able to represent me on those dates and another barrister is surpose to contact me. Iam told by the solicitor that if i am found guilty i would more than likely recieve a suspended sentence can anyone please tell me if i would be able to leave the country while under a suspended sentence ? Only i am a permanent resisdent of the usa and can only be out of the country for a year without loosing my resisdences. Any advice would be very much appreciated. Thanks

hiya, it seems to me to be fairly unlikely to get a suspended sentance for GBH after being found guilty at a trial
