Worst thing to stand on

What do you think is the worst thing to step on while stumbling around the house making your way to the toilet at night in the dark with nothing on your feet?
I say an upturned plug or a chunk of cat litter.

Tigger used to bring worms into the house and into my bedroom and one morning I trod on one. Problem is I have a phobia of worms!

I woke up in the middle of the night to go the loo one time, didn't bother turning the light on and my foot sunk in to a pile of diarrhoea the dog had kindly left on the mat. I nearly got sick haha.

A school-friend of my Mum was making her way down the unlit stairs one night as a cute, very small kitten was slowly making its way up.
