So its my boyfriends 30th birthday in January and I wanted to do something really special for him as he's had a really crap year this year. I asked him if he would like to go away somewhere and he said he fancied going to Scotland. I like Scotland (but in all honesty we live up noth anyway so could go whenever we liked), but wanted to make it an exciting and memorable experience so I have booked 4 nights in New York (he's never been). He won't even know about it until we get to the Airport. From a guys angle (and girls) what would you think when you found out that you weren't going to Scotland?

Yogi, where was the wedding? I'm guessing it would've been either Cameron House, The Cruin or the Lodge on the Loch at Luss. All lovely places. I got married on the Maid of the Loch - big boat that doesn't sail :)
being Scottish, i would be a bit p'd off if i thought i was going to gods country and ended up in NY

All the best yogi xx
That's where I spent my wedding night Yogi :) I live 5 minutes walk from the Loch, I probably don't appreciate it as much as I should most of the time.
New York every time for me. But I have never been there and I am not a big fan of the UK. Although I do very much like what I have seen of Scotland so far. If you think he will enjoy it then spoil him.
