shampoo

My hairdresser friend told me years ago that shampoo is basically a detergant and it didn't matter what you used, even fairy liquid, you'd get the same result. It was the conditioner that made the difference . Yesterday's Daily Mail agreed with the shampoo part, but what about the conditioner?

Having said that my sister uses Pantene all the time, and colours her hair at home, and it looks great, and shiny too. Hmmm..might just be a another hair myth.
I use the Neutrogena Clean shampoo and conditioner (99p from the 99p shop!) and it is lovely; Herbal Essences is one I used to really like but it made me scalp very dry which made me touch my head a lot which made my hair greasy! Also use an intensive conditioner every now and then; particularly like the Avon one but am trying out a Superdrug own brand one at the mo. I definitely need conditioner as my hair is very poouffey otherwise!
I've also heard the thing about silicone Rodge! And that Head and Shoulders strips your hair of any colour you put in!
