Hi guys.. Can anyone help?..I have a really painful foot, it hurts to walk on it..in particular the heel...If I raise my heel, and walk on the ball of my foot it feels better, the pain goes up the back of my leg, but no higher than my knee!..I haven't done anything to it..I have no bruising or swelling, and it doesnt hurt if I give it prod!! Seems a waste of time to consult the Doc's... wondered if anyone could shed any light?

Agree with what others have said - plantar fascitis - my son had this, spent weeks at osteopath and doing exercises at home. He also had a special inner sole for his shoes/trainers. One exercise was to stand on the bottom stair with just front part of feet on the stair and heel bit off the stair and tilt backwards and forwards (but remember to hold onto the stair post).
A friend of my suffers with PF and swears by 'Fit Flops' Obviously it's getting a bit cold for these so now she's going to buy Fit Flop boots but not sure if these will work so well.
See your doctor. My brother-in-law had this problem and the doc. said the tendons in his ankle was damaged. He was given some pills which helped overcome his problem.
