Will a penalty notice cause me to loose my job?

I recieved a penalty notice today for stealing some face cream from debenhams. I intend to pay the fine tomorrow.I have never done this before and it is completly out of charecter. I am currently on maternity leave from the NHS and am under my GP for postnatal depression. I have enchnced CRB for my job (which is currently clear). I have to renew it every 3 years. Will this cause me to loose my job? Who should I speak to about it? What can I do to rectify it?
