Burning an avi file to a disc
5 Answers
Any ideas? I have an avi file which is quite big- 4 million KB - a 20 min long video. I want to burn it to a disc so I can make it portable. I don't know how to do it. I use Windows XP and have Nero but not sure how it works...

Playing the avi on another computer might not work. Avi files need additional data called a "codec". Most computers already have a lot of codecs but sometimes additional ones need to be downloaded.
To make sure the avi will definately play, download and install the freeware media player called vlc media player on your other computer. It plays all video files without the need to download codecs.
