We are losing our High St shops every day, can you name from a-z shops we used to see, some of the big ones we all know,
Here's some to start you off - - -

A - Alders Dept Store

B - Barrats = Shoes

C - C & A = Clothes

D - Dewhursts = Butchers

E - Etam Ladies outfitters.

F - ???

I used to live 300yds from Yardley's factory ... it stank
Readmans.
Hepworth the Tailor ( I worked there to 11 years on their computer)
Fosters - menswear
Richards shops - fashion
Stead & Simpson - shoes
Lilley & Skinner - shoes
Bainbridges - now John Lewis.
Hitchens
Mathias Robinsons
Kardomah Tea shop (or is that a local shop)

A lot of the shops I've never heard of but thats because I'm a southener, probably there are some you haven't come accross for the same reason. Barrats, in this part of the world have stopped trading, may still be going in other parts.

So if anyone can fill in the gaps Great!
