usb connection to motherboard
2 Answers
Hi, wondering if anybody can help - my pc was built for me by my dad, its usb sockets are directly on the motherboard, now the case it was built into has two usb sockets on the front which i would like to use - they are not plugged into anywhere just curled up and tied, how can i find if they can be plugged in and used ?
Any ideas much appreciated, thanks

Somewhere on the board will be a "USB Header" that the curled up cable will plug into. It's usually near the bottom between the PCI slots, but I seriously advise a look at the manual rather than a trial and error technique.
You can probably get a manual for your motherboard online, if you know which one it is. If you need to know exactly which one it is, you can use Sisoft Sandra available from www.sisoftware.co.uk
