I want to back up my iTunes libary incase my computer breaks. I've paid for music and videos etc, and I'm also of thinking of getting a new computer/laptop and would like a way to convert all this music to my new one. How do I do this WITHOUT losing any music?

Get yourself an external hard drive and copy your iTunes Folder to it.

Have a read of the following:

And read the section titled 'Restoring your iTunes Library backup' when you want to copy your existing iTunes library to a new computer...

thanks.
You may refer to this step by step guide, it will teach you how to transfer iTunes library to another computer, it's easy to understand and works pretty well for me. It's safe and it will not delete your iTunes music and video. And then you can back up your iTunes on external drive or transfer them to your new computer.
