The pluses are nitric oxide increases blood flow which serves to deliver more nutrients to muscles, thus helping muscles become larger when subject to stress, they also widen capillaries, vessels and veins which in itself is a good thing. Viagra stimulates erections primarily by enhancing signaling through nitric oxide pathways in the penis.Nitric oxide precursors are also being looked into to help Angina sufferers and can help with dilating blood vessels in the lungs which is of interest to those studying Asthma and other lung disorders. A-AKG ?
I hadn't heard of that, but I've just Googled it.
If MickyM comes back ... I'm curious ...
Does it seem to produce any bloodflow related stamina benefits? Like ... would it do anything for a runner?
(nb. I don't want to bulk up ... so if it's mainly for building muscle, then it's a "no" for me)

Hi there joggerjayne. I and many others have found it to increase the size of muscle and increase strength but this is usually done with the help of our natural testosterone production as well as pushing carbs, fats and protein levels through the roof so the muscle building properties will be a lot less pronounced seeing you're a woman and I'm guessing you jog a lot which builds less bulky muscle tone. The side of Aakg supplementation that i think would would interest you would be the stamina and better breathing affects that Aakg has as well as the recovery of your muscles from all the nutrients being sucked straight into the muscle. A lot of the guys that take this also do cardio when they're on a cutting phase so this tells me that you should find it of value. It's also good stacked with beta alanine and citrulline malate though I wouldn't stack a product that was new to me and would instead gauge each one by itself.

Thanks, MickyM ... that's interesting.
I think I might give it a try.
I do a lot of gym work as well, but now the sort of big-weight-intense-rep stuff that would build up size.
Helping speed up muscle recovery would be a definite plus. I don't need that after my runs, but more after the gym, which I do about 3 times a week.
