Airlines fined over cargo cartel
Here we go again – the European Commission has fined a number of airlines a total of almost 800 million Euros for operating a cartel.
You and I have been paying increased prices on goods and services as a result of this cartel, which has been in operation since 2006.
None of us is going to get a refund of monies paid over the odds, and so the money we paid is in reality just another tax.
If the European authorities want to stop these blatant rip offs (rather than treat them as an extra revenue stream), then a few high profile chief executives need to find themselves in gaol.
Those running such operations (cartels) in the USA, have a fight on their hands to maintain their liberty – something that should be happening here.
