How rich would you be?

I would just like to ask how rich would you be if you had a pound for everytime your child said "I want" and more to the point what would you spend it on?

p.s You are not allowed to spend it on what your child is asking for or your husband/wife wants just yourself (imagine that!)

Pretty rich!

I'd save it for their University education and spend it on something they need.

Maybe distinguishing what we want from what we need is a part of growing up that not all of us manage however old we get.

I think that is a very good idea to put the money away for the kids education.  What very clever kids we all would have if every parent took on that idea.  The reason I posted the question was because foolishly I took  my kids with me to town.  I had to buy myself new shoes for work, thats all I had the money for.  I didnt come home with my shoes for work but the kids did come home with lots of nice things for themselves.  Me on the other hand I would of kicked myself if i had shoes to do it in!!!!  I wish sometimes I had more self control.  I hate the way the kids come home from school and tell me all the nice things that there friends have and they wish they had nice things to. I am a sucker for there sad tales.

A pound for every'I Want' - I would be LOADED!!

I'd spend the money on a trip for 1to the maldives - just me, a good book and a tall cold drink on the beach. Complete peace and quite - no one nagging 'i want'!!

But this is the stuff dreams are made of....If it came down to it I dont think I'd be able to leave my little one behind......but its a nice thought though.

Guess my answer is slightly more self indulgent then jake-the-peg!!

Just remember everytime your children come home telling you about their friends cool stuff, those freinds are busy telling their parents about your kids cool stuff and making them feel just as guilty!!
