Haven Reighton Sands
4 Answers
Has anyone been to Reighton Sands holiday park this year. I am going there in May with 4 of my grand kids and have just read very mixed reviews about the place. If anyone can give me advice it would be greatfully appreciated. I am also worried about the steep hill down to the beach as i am in a mobility scooter. Staff there told me i would have no problems getting up and down from the beach.

Hi Lazy daisy
I have been twice to Reighton Sands. Its very quiet and pretty. You will NOT be able to get down to the beach which is at the back of the camp as it very steep! You are best seeing the beach if you can get to scarborough and bridlington but again there are some steps. I took my 4 year old to reighton and he loved it, how old are your grand kids? i think kids...

Try and get out of the camp in the day. its clean and the staff were good. It gets cold in the caravans at night so take extra clothing and put the heating on! hope this helps x

hi,this isn't really an answer but i too am going to a haven site, thorpe park, ive read bad reports too about the caravans being disgusting etc,i think just keep an open mind,i have read so many negativer reviews about places ive been before and i'm sure some people have nothing better to do than moan, aspecially about things what can't be helped like weather etc!good luck hope its not that bad!lol!
I'd forgotten i'd put this on here.....Well i needn't of worried. We all had a great time. my grandkids were 4,5,6 and 11. The caravan was really nice. We weren't able to get onto the beach onsite as the tractor that was meant to take holiday makers down has been removed due to health and bloody safety...Apparently it doesn't have seatbelts fitted!!!!!
Had fantastic days out in Bridlington and Scarborough and Filey.
The site was nice and clean and we would definitely go back.
