My kids are all older now and and I seem to have gone into baking mode for them. We are all going to be huge, hubby just rolls his eyes and tucks into cake quite happy. Is it just me or are there other mums whose kids have grown up and do this?
i don't bake and rarely ever did, but i found i still cooked for a family long after my kids had left home. still do sometimes, far too much of everything.
conversely though, much as i look forward to them coming home i now look forward to them leaving again after a few days, because of all the cooking it involves. never happy are we??
I baked fairy cakes for Scotland when I looked after my 'pals' (users) kids. Was good fun although they had them wolfed whilst i was making the icing up -wee dolls:)
I did however did not think that they were such wee dolls not to wrestle the cakes from their gob:)
I was ace an ace baker when I was younger (my dear Nannie and Grandad worked all their years in the bakehouse) -just dont have anyone to do it for now *sob*
pix -when youre free you know what to do :) I have a nice wee mixture up here thats got your name on it lol
B00 -I just wanted people to say thats yummy -I still really dont have a sweet tooth apart from a 'sair heid' brb with a pic lolol :)
Know what you mean!
It's not the baking that's the problem; it's the eating!
You could do fund raisers for you favourite charity and just keep back your expenses then you get to do the baking and see it enjoyed but don't put the pounds on.
