My son wants a camcorder for Xmas, being a bit divvy in this area I'm not sure what one to get. It will be a budget one, is it better to get a good SD one as opposed to a budget HD one, I have about £170-200 to spend.

Any advice welcome, thanks

Seen the one in Argos, I don't trust this half price business though, it was probably only worth the half price tag to start with.
