If I leave my Pc on for more than a couple of hours the mouse pointer becomes immobile. The only way I can 'unfreeze' it is to diconnect the lead and replace it.

My question is:

1. What's causing the problem and how can I rectify it ? (2-questions !)

What OS are you using ? If you are using XP you may have to go to the Device Manager and check each USB port if need be make sure that they properly configured.

Thanks,Galeck1947. It's not a USB mouse. It has a multi-pin connector. Perhaps I should change to a USB mouse.

Oh, yes, I am using XP.

Cheers.
