DVD Maker

I have purchased a DVD Maker from `Maplins` to transfer tapes on to my PC but there is no sound to accompany the pictures. Can a expert please advise me on what I`m doing wrong? TIA

As you haven't actually told us what you are doing, how do you expect anyone to tell what you are doing wrong?

It wont allow copyrighted tapes to be copied - what type of videos are you trying to transfer.

Also have you wired it up correctly

Don't think copyright is an issue. Sounds like you have missed the audio cables. Are there sockets for 2 extra cables?

Sorry,.....I am 73 and don`t think as well as I used to, but to answer your reply I am trying to transfer old VHF videos and more recent ones of places I have travelled to on my holidays with my wife before I retired and also days out with my grandchildren. I don`t wish to break any laws of copywrite, as to wireing it up, I inserted a cable into a USB port and one into the socket for sound to speakers,and the re white and yellow plugs to their respected sockets on the camera. I haven`t yet tried to transfer VHF tapes from my vcr but I assume they will be the same procedure. HTH`s

Shylock,
look for the microphone socket next to the speaker one on your computer. Think speaker = sound out, microphone = sound in.
There aren't any copyright issues here.
