How come the high school that I only started going to for the sixth form in september always seems to have PD days (students don't have to go in) but my old high school that I go to some of the time doesn't? Plus this one i've only just started going to always seems to have lots of days where it's closed for other reasons, or times where the teachers spend all day with their form group . . . .
The 5 Baker days were originally part to the school holidays to be used at the school's discretion. The were reserved for days when the school might have to close, such as election time. My first school used to take two days in December as we were not used as a polling booth so did not need to close for elections. This gave rise to the 'Christmas shopping' myth.
Then why do you post questions where you say, "this must involve relative molecular mass" and on this thread you don't even know who to ask why your school is closed.
This is a comon sense question, nothing to do with being clever. If the school is shut, why not contact them to find out why instead of posting on a website where we have no way of knowing.
I kow why it's closed, i' asking why does it seem to be closed more than the other and why does it have more days where it's clsoed that aren't PD days.
