He does need to see his GP for referral to a Cardiologist.
While I was in hospital a while back they discovered I had a heart murmer but didn't recommend any treatment, Just said to have an ECG every year. They send an appt when due.
Everyone in my family has at one time or another been told that they have a 'heart murmur'. We are all absolutely fine. If it was anything sinister, I'm sure that whoever told you would have given you appropriate advice.
Sqad - he was admited to A+E following a diabetic seasure, it was pretty scary and we nearly lost him (he's on 2 different types of insulin and took the wrong one before going to bed) He came home after 24 hours. He was told all was fine except a slight heart murmur.
