Spiders

Just seen on TV. The average house is home to 200 spiders. Mrs micmak has just thrown a wobbly.

I don't like spiders, but i try not to kill them because they are good for the house.

We shoiuld not put house spiders outside, they don't survive.

The idea that spiders in the house are garden spiders who have come in for a warm is untrue - they are a spearate species and house spiders will not live outside. They are used to a warm environment, and survive on very little water.

Nope, sorry ! Still haven't been persuaded that sharing my house with spiders is a good thing.......

I did'nt know that they dont survive if outside, so will stop catching them......there's plenty of room at Chez yogi's, so they can stay and be good for the house.

Even mrs bear's not fussed about them either. The chlldren just give us an update where they spotted one, so does'nt bother them either.

hate to let you know but the average is 5 being swallowed whilst you sleep. Not all at once mind, over a "life-time"

My husband doesn't like spiders, but he won't kill them - he just calls for me to pick them up and take them outside.

If we didn`t have spiders in this world, we wouldn`t have existed for very long as diseases spread by flies and other creatures that spiders feed on would have wiped us out long ago. If you want to live and thrive,let a spider run alive.

I'm squeamish but I wouldn't kill one just because of that. If Mr.C's around I ask him to catch it and put it outside. Sounds like we have been unwittingly sending them to their death. :o(

It's a horrible thought though ... 200 spiders creeping around the house. <shudder>
