Bob Edmiston is to be made a peer

Does this self-made man have qualifications other than being a major Tory party donor.

Well yes He is behind three acadamy schools the "grace" acadamies in Coventry, Solihull and Darlaston - contraversial for allegations of creationist teachings

Bob says:
"If you tell people they are descended from monkeys how can you expect them to behave like anything other than monkeys?"

From the Lords he will be able to exert influence on Michael Gove's education reforms, proposing ammendments and getting involved in the committee stages.

Anybody think this is a good choice?

I rather infer from that an acceptance that we are descended from monkeys - just a reluctance to tell people in case it has an adverse effect on their behaviour.

Perhaps he is just happy to lie to people - seems like an ideal qualification for a politician.

Found God Geezer?

Or perhaps you'll back any lunatic in a blue rosette

As far as I'm concerned he can be behind as many schools as he likes that teach the lunatic ramblings of the creationists - I couldn't give a tinker's cuss whether he was behind schools which taught that sharks only eat carrots and our knees are there purely as a guide to how tall Wellington Boots should be............................subject to the schools not being funded by the state.

I firmly believe that faith schools should not receive a single penny of state money as schools are not the place for religious indoctrination, and therefore to answer the question, no, I do not think this is a good choice.
If he's going to exert any influence on education I suggest he gets his facts straight first. We are not descended from monkeys.
Of course you are all aware of his name's anagram.....if, not he will now be

Lord Demonist.
