Either I have missed the thread or thank goodness others are finding this as tough as I am. 3/4 done on the grid and some of the anagrams and extended words found. I am a little sceptical about some of the cluing...
Yes, this is a typical Pieman. It began with a loud bang as my head hit the desk, but is now opening up nicely. Not one for beginners or the faint-hearted.
As soon as I saw that Pieman was the setter, I (along with everyone else who knows his work) knew this one would be tough. I think all the clues are sound, too.
