Asda is Walmart owned, my biggest local is about half the size of a standard Walmart.
Why did they not venture abroad until 1991 ? I'm not sure, but I imagine it takes time for a greedy massive multi-national to spread its tentacles.

Although I avoid giving my money to such a damaging business empire, gaad dammit do I wish that Asda stocked NOS energy drink, corn dogs and gallon bottles of Tropicana orange juice for $6 !
