Change the beds for Christmas Eve?
Buy our kids new PJs for Santa arriving?
Do the same a week later for NY?
Make a giant pan of broth for NYE?
I do the cleaning and changing of beds before we go on holiday in the Summer

I think in this age of G,C'H annie, you find last years coal to give 'em..lol
it's a keepsake thing, I have a piece somewhere..
yep tall and dark has the FF to be ;-)

My family are from Northern Cyprus Bobbi, the Turkish bit.
When someone was moving house, the old folks used to give them a piece of coal, a silver coin, and a piece of bread, all tied in a cloth. It symbolised warmth, wealth and food - hence wishing the 'mover' everything good in their new home.

i used to now i do a big blitz boxing day get rid of wrapping paper empties ect
